Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days, an
antique flea market, is held annually during the third weekend in August in
Oronoco. Our sleepy City of 900 becomes home to over 20,000 people daily looking
for great buys, good food and the fun of looking for unique finds and treasures.
The City becomes Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush with private and public land covered
with over 1200 vendor lots.

Do you have a love of antiques??? If so, come and enjoy over 1200 booths from
antique furniture to antique dishes. We have vendors from Texas, Florida,
Wisconsin and all over the States- and yes we have Minnesota vendors also.
Be sure to plan on shopping for three days as most vendors are here on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. Wear good shoes and dress for the weather. The show is
outside and goes on regardless of the weather.
The charm of Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days is that the Community is evolved in
the event. From breakfast and supper served at the VFW or the Fire Hall, to
vendors set up though out our City- it is a great event.
Many food vendors are also set up. If you like cheese curds, turkey legs or home
made ice cream sandwiches, you will love the variety of great food available at
Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush.
"Oronoco Gold Rush Antique Show and Flea Market" began with 38 selected
exhibitors. The event was started by Earl Berg in 1972 who owned an antique shop
in Oronoco. He also named and drew the wagon logo for the event. It was named to
commemorate the 1858 discovery of GOLD in Oronoco. Spaces were $2.00 each. The
entire Berg family volunteered their time and talents. Mr. Berg died in 1997 but
Mrs. Berg still owns and operates the Berg's Antique Store.
